I Peter Series Begins
The People of God

Peter most likely wrote this letter (62–66 AD) toward the end of his life. Persecution from the Roman government under Nero was at its apex and most Christians were feeling the effects of having to walk with God in a hostile culture. There were many issues Peter needed to address. What is the identity of the Church? What is our ultimate goal as the Church? What is most important as we go about being the Church? How should the Church respond to a hostile culture? This nine-week series of messages will walk us through a challenging pathway of what it means to truly be the people of God.
