WOMEN IN FOCUS
Fall is here and although the weather is still hot, the women of Scottsdale Bible Church are ready with our new theme, Women in Focus. As I have prayed and pondered about our year ahead, I remembered an experience that I had sometime ago when I attended an event in the Dodge Theater. We were tucked into the Theater in the upper balcony and the stage was very far away. The production started and I strained to see accurately, but was continually distracted by what was around me and my inability to see. Thankfully my friend had brought along a pair of binoculars! Once I focused on the stage through the binoculars I was able to enjoy the performance and the distractions disappeared.
This is not unlike our spiritual life. While God can see the big picture, if we are not focused tightly on Him following His lead, the distractions take our attention away from His plan for our lives! This year we want our Focus to be on Christ; ready to follow His lead to the purpose He has called each of us!
We have some exciting opportunities planned for you! Join us as we focus on God’s Word through Bible Studies beginning the week of September 8. We will be increasing our focus on mentoring, single mom’s, prayer and outreach. The year is packed full of focus opportunities that we will be presenting to you on September 20 at our Fall Kick-off Event Fall into Focus. Plan now to attend and get ready, the year ahead is starting to come into focus.
Our mission is to lead women to be fully devoted focused followers of Jesus, who step out with purpose to make a difference and serve Him passionately with their gifts.
