Something new is happening in Tempe—and you can be part of it! Our SBC Tempe community is gathering weekly at the Shea Venue for worship, connection, and vision as we prepare to launch. Come experience live worship, teaching from Pastor Jamie on the big screen, and a chance to meet Pastor Joel Thompson and others who share a heart for reaching Tempe.
YTH Food & Fellowship Night | Sunday, September 21 | All campuses
Give your student a night that fuels their faith and friendships! Food & Fellowship Night is a chance for students to invite friends to experience YTH at SBC and inspire them to live boldly for Jesus this school year. Free Raising Cane’s, Dutch Bros, epic raffle prizes, and a message of hope will make it an unforgettable night.
Finding Your Place in Foster Care and Adoption | Thursday, September 25 | Shea
You have the power to change a child’s life! Caring for foster kids is a key part of our mission, and everyone can help—whether by donating resources, volunteering, supporting foster families, or even becoming licensed. The need is urgent, so join us at this event to discover how you can make an impact!
God Owns It All | Sundays, October 5 – November 9 | Shea
Discover greater contentment and freedom in your finances through this class from the Ron Blue Institute. You’ll hear principles grounded in Scripture and proven in the marketplace and be equipped with strategies that will build your confidence and give you peace about your financial future.
Bunk Bed Build | Saturday, October 18 | Phoenix
Looking for a meaningful way to serve others? Join us as we partner with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) to build bunk beds for vulnerable kids and families. As a volunteer, you’ll help prep, sand, and stain the bunk-bed wood in their air-conditioned facility while making new friends!
Support Groups
Did you know SBC offers 15 different groups that provide support and practical tools to help you navigate life’s challenges? The groups are facilitated by leaders who have been where you are and understand the topics well. Several groups are launching this week, while others are ongoing and welcome new members anytime.
