It may not seem like the end of the year, but we just concluded another financial year at Scottsdale Bible Church. We’re thankful for the generosity of our members and attenders who make our mission possible financially! Though our hoped-for contribution level fell 1.5% short, we also managed expenses effectively, allowing us to stay within our overall plan and add a small amount to our ongoing cash balance as we start another new financial year.
We are thankful for God’s provision and your sacrifice as we start the 2026/27 adventure together!
Q: It seems like Scottsdale Bible Church is well funded and really doesn’t need my financial support. Is that true?
A: We believe God’s Church will always have what it needs to carry out its calling. We also believe that the work of the church is meant to be funded by its people, who sacrifice their time, talent, and treasure on its behalf.
Q: How does this work?
A: Each year we embark on a process to determine what our ministry and operational needs will be for the next year, prayerfully and intentionally laying out a plan for what we believe God would have us do. That plan is reviewed with the Finance Council and the Elder Board before it is presented to the members for approval. Throughout the year we watch contribution levels and adjust the spending plan accordingly. What this means is that we had roughly $400,000 worth of the original plan that was not completed or completed in other ways. In the big picture, it’s not significant—in the day-to-day, it meant holding off on needed hires, delaying projects, and in some cases, constricting budgets.
