How to Talk About Jesus
Thursday, August 20 | 6:30-8:30pm | Shea Venue
What could happen if we felt more confident and ready to have faith conversations with the people in our lives? How might God use that to change us and our city?
Come be inspired by stories and equipped with practical strategies to talk about Jesus in a genuine, approachable way. You will also see how Alpha creates space for honest questions and meaningful conversations about what a relationship with Jesus looks like.
You’ll leave encouraged, equipped, and ready to start conversations about Jesus and invite others to Alpha this fall.
Ed Stetzer, Dean of Talbot School of Theology at Biola University, will share insights for navigating today’s cultural moment. With decades of experience in church planting, pastoring, and leadership development, he brings wisdom on evangelism, mission, and cultural engagement, and contributes regularly to national conversations on faith.
Nicky Gumbel, founder and global voice of Alpha, will join us via a prerecorded conversation with our Groups Pastor. He will share the Alpha 2033 vision, what God is doing around the world, and how it connects to what we are seeing at Scottsdale Bible and across the Valley.
We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to ask life’s big questions.
Share Alpha with your friends and loved ones who are exploring life, spirituality, and faith.

Rooted is a small group discipleship experience that inspires questions, conversations, and experiences designed to connect you to God, the Church, and your purpose. Rooted isn’t simply a Bible study or a book, it’s about taking risks and doing things Jesus did. You’ll practice seven rhythms essential to a healthy relationship with Jesus: daily devotion, prayer, freedom from strongholds, sacrificial generosity, serving the community, sharing your story, and celebrating. Come and experience Rooted!
Childcare is available at each campus! Look for the option to register in the confirmation email that you will receive after you complete your Rooted registration.
Please note that Rooted is available for ages 18+.
Connect with your campus groups pastor for details on the next session.
Please email rooted@scottsdalebible.com if you have any questions or want more information.
Alpha
Thursdays | September 10–November 19 | 6:30-8:30pm | All Campuses

What is my purpose?
Who is Jesus and why does He matter?
Why is there suffering?

Each session includes dinner, a short video, and a discussion where you can talk about your thoughts and questions with people from all different backgrounds. Try it the first night and see if Alpha is right for you. No strings attached, no pressure, and no cost.
Sundays, September 27–December 13 | 5:30-7:30pm | Shea MC7

Discover practical insight from the Book of Proverbs that will help you navigate everyday decisions, strengthen your faith, and live with greater purpose. Dr. Darryl DelHousaye, Talbot Seminary Phoenix Ambassador, draws on decades of pastoral experience to bring Scripture to life in a practical, engaging, and winsome way.
Bible Essentials
Wednesdays, September 16 - November 11 | 6:30pm | North Ridge MC3
The Bible is an adventure of discovering who God is and how He’s at work in your life. Bible Essentials will equip you with the tools you’ll need to study Scripture effectively and encounter Jesus in a deeper way. Jesus said, “If you abide in My word, you are truly My disciples, and you will know the truth…” (John 8:31).
Whether you’re new to the Bible or looking for fresh insight, you’ll journey the discipleship path with others in a welcoming, Q&A-style environment. Please bring your own Bible to class. While teaching will primarily reference the English Standard Version (ESV), feel free to bring whatever Bible you have.
Fall registration coming soon.
Sacrificial Generosity
Wednesday, September 23 - October 28 | 6:30-8pm | North Ridge MC2
Wednesday, September 23 - October 28 | 6:30-8pm | Shea MC4
Generosity is one of the greatest privileges we have, a chance to give our time, talents, and resources in ways that reflect the heart of God. The early church understood this. They gave radically and joyfully, not out of pressure, but because they'd caught a glimpse of God's abundance and wanted to be part of it.
This study is designed to help you discover that same joy, whether you’re just beginning to explore generosity or want to grow deeper. Each week you'll discover a different dimension of biblical generosity through Scripture, reflection, and real-life application. By the end, you won't just understand generosity, you'll feel the joy and freedom of living it.
